Our club now wears white, traditional-style karate suits (gi) with a coloured belt (obi), that marks rank. If you wish to buy a karate suit you can ask Paul who can get you one at a reasonable price (they can be much more expensive in the high street). New belts are provided in the cost of the grading.

For sparring (kumite), sparring mitts and leg pads can be worn to better protect both the fighter and the opponent. These however, are no substitute for using control.
